ARTICOLO SULLA TRASFERTA - Tradotto in due lingue in onore dei nostri nuovi amici maltesi.

Malta: Sport twinning between Skywalker roman volleyball team and Malta's players under the banners of friendship and fair-play.

First international experience for the new Stefano's Dionisi's sporting society: ASD Skywalker. It was founded in September 2010 thanks to the diligence and passion of president Dionisi, vice-president (Luana Di Vona) and secretary (Vanessa Tosti) who want to create a new association for the promotion of sport promotion in the north of Rome. Besides amateur volleyball teams, Skywalker is going to embrace a lot of other sports activities next year in accordance to the teaching mission of psycho-physic culture between young roman boys and girls. This year president Dionisi has organised two volleyball amateur teams and with these groups he conquered the third and fifth place in two different regional championships. Before the end of the season the two teams are going to go Grottamare for CSEN's nationals finals competitions, scheduled between 30 of May and 2 of June, but before of this event Skywalker was called to its first international experience in Malta. Two roman teams against two malteses groups (Birkirkara Volleyball Club) engaged in a little international tournament in the name of sport twinning between different athletic cultures. Special moments for each one that are really difficult to forget... The maltese hospitality was excellent and extremely kind, in the magic structures of St. Martins College perfectly equipped for the special event. Really tempting, of course, also the banquet after the competition, rich of Malta's foods specialities. The not ritual exchange of banners and a lot of other very nice gadgets at the end of the special night were even touching. The roman group heartily reciprocated presenting the leader of the opponent society with an historical name-plate in memory of the event. First classificated in the tournament was the Birkikara Team "A", at the second and third place respectively the Skywalker team "B" (trained by coach Alessio Chiapperini) and "A" (with the veteran captain Ciro Tubelli and trained by the president Dionisi). Last place for the Birkikara team "B". So the host defended with honour and victory the historical fortress of the celebs St. John's Knights, protecting their positions against the "roman invasion" and remaining masters of their ancient and beautiful island. The sports results, although important, were not the most essential element of the day, because the friendship twinning between two societies was the best result of the event: a cultural and athletic meeting between different groups of people under the banners of sport and fair-play. President Dionisi explained: "This athletic transfer was a beautiful success beyond our best hopes. Malta's cousin's hospitality was really perfect and i am really glad to have worked about this event with my new "overseas friends". Without a lot of money and great sponsors, but with plainness and honesty, we became Italy's representatives in another country, during a beautiful week end that will be really difficult to forget. I am very happy for our team's performances, because we fought for the victory with strength and determination, but we are also glad to do homage to our opponent teams who fought better than us and rightly conquered the first place. We sincerely hope to return here in future to embrace our new friends and also to catch a sporting revenge". There were a lot of emotion, tenderness and fair-play for all the teams in the name of sport. Are there better ways to get new friends?

Malta: Gemellaggio tra la formazione romana della pallavolo Skywalker e quella della rappresentativa maltese all’insegna dello sport.

Prima esperienza internazionale per la nuova società sportiva nata dall’ingegno e dall’impegno di Stefano Dionisi, Luana Di Vona, Vanessa Tosti, rispettivamente, Presidente, Vice Presidente e Segretario. Veri e propri guru della promozione sportiva dilettantistica del IV Municipio di Roma, hanno ideato e cresciuto l’embrione di una società che conta di diventare una polisportiva sempre più ampia. Essa infatti, oltre ad abbracciare l’ambito pallavolistico amatoriale dell’attività psico-fisica, l’anno prossimo conta di aprire i propri battenti anche ad altre discipline, nell’ottica della diffusione presso i giovani e per i giovani di una cultura atletica sempre più ampia e diversificata. Due le squadre organizzate in questa stagione, entrambe amatoriali miste di pallavolo, iscritte nel torneo CSEN provinciale ed in quello cittadino del IV Municipio. A conclusione di una bella annata (un terzo ed un quinto posto in classifica generale) le due formazioni disputeranno le Finali Nazionali CSEN a Grottammare, in programma nel week end del 2 Giugno, ma soprattutto sono state chiamate a partecipare alla loro prima esperienza internazionale, come ricordato in apertura, il 14-16 Maggio, presso l’Isola di Malta. Le squadre dello Skywalker sono state infatti impegnate in un quadrangolare all’insegna dello sport e del “gemellaggio ludico-atletico” contro due rappresentative di colleghi maltesi (Birkirkara Volleyball Club), al culmine di una trasferta davvero difficile da dimenticare. Perfetta, anzi addirittura commovente, l’accoglienza riservata ai romani dai padroni di casa, che hanno messo a disposizione degli ospiti il St. Martins College, un prestigioso palazzetto sportivo completamente attrezzato per l’evento, ed hanno salutato gli avversari con un rinfresco ricco di specialità isolane ed una vera scorta di gadget-ricordo. La rappresentativa italiana ha risposto dal canto suo con il rituale scambio dei gagliardetti e con la consegna agli amici-avversari di una targa commemorativa dell’evento. Al termine della contesa la formazione vincitrice è stata quella Maltese, seguita dalla rappresentativa “B” dei romani, allenata da Alessio Chiapperini, al terzo posto si sono piazzati gli altri capitolini con la squadra “A”, capitanati dal veterano Ciro Tubelli ed allenati dal presidente Dionisi ed infine all’ultimo posto il secondo gruppo di atleti maltesi. I padroni di casa, dunque, hanno tenuto alto l’onore dell’isola dei celebri Cavalieri, difendendo i propri bastioni dagli invasori e mantenendosi padroni incontrastati delle proprie posizioni. Il dato sportivo, pur importante come sempre, è comunque passato in secondo piano rispetto all’incontro di due culture atletiche ed umane davvero entusiasmante, come testimoniato dalle parole di coach Dionisi: “Questa trasferta è stata un successo oltre ogni nostra più rosea aspettativa. L’accoglienza dei nostri “cugini” maltesi è stata incredibile e sono davvero contento di aver lavorato insieme ad i nostri colleghi d’oltremare perché ciò potesse riuscire al meglio. Nel nostro piccolo, senza eccessivi blasoni e senza grandi sponsor, siamo stati anche noi rappresentanti del nostro paese all’estero, in un week end che ci ha visti protagonisti di un evento che sarà difficile dimenticare. Sono molto contento del comportamento di ognuna delle nostre due formazioni che si sono battute con grinta e determinazione per la conquista del titolo finale. Onore al merito dei colleghi maltesi che ci hanno sconfitto, a loro va il nostro più sincero ed affettuoso plauso con l’augurio che presto si possa tornare ad incrociare le nostre strade per poter sperare in una nuova sfida e, magari, in una rivincita”. Una trasferta internazionale ricca di emozioni, affetto e fair-play, dunque, quella vissuta da ambo le parti, a proverbiale dimostrazione di come lo sport praticato con serenità e rispetto unisca davvero i popoli e li spinga a conoscersi e migliorarsi a vicenda.
